1. Information We Collect
Customer-submitted information
When you request an estimate, book a service, or message us, we collect the information you voluntarily provide:
- Name, email address, phone number
- Service address and property details
- Description of the tree-service work you're interested in
- Photos or videos you upload to help us quote your work
Automatically collected
- IP address and general location (city level)
- Browser type, device type, operating system
- Referring URL and UTM parameters (how you found us)
- Pages visited and time on site
Data from connected services (Branch Manager staff app)
Our internal Branch Manager app may connect to third-party services we've authorized, including Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. When we connect these, we receive:
- Basic profile info for the business accounts we own
- Reviews, posts, messages, and media associated with those accounts
- Access tokens needed to post content on our own behalf
These tokens are stored encrypted on our servers and are used only to operate our own business profiles. We do not use them to access any account that does not belong to {{business_name}}.
2. How We Use Information
- Respond to your service requests, send quotes, schedule visits
- Send appointment reminders, invoices, receipts, and service-related updates
- Improve our services and website
- Post our own completed-job photos and updates to our own social profiles
- Respond to reviews on our own Google/Facebook/Instagram accounts
- Comply with legal obligations (tax, licensing)
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Service providers we use to run the business: Supabase (database + auth), Twilio (SMS), Resend (email), Stripe (payments), Dialpad (phone). Each has its own privacy practices.
- Law enforcement when required by valid legal process.
- A successor if {{business_short_name}} is sold or merged.
4. Your Rights and Choices
You can:
- Ask what information we have about you
- Request corrections
- Request deletion of your data (see Data Deletion)
- Opt out of marketing emails or SMS at any time (reply STOP, or use the unsubscribe link)

5. Data Retention
We keep customer records for as long as needed to service your account plus seven years for tax and legal purposes. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
6. Security
We use HTTPS everywhere, row-level security on our database, and encrypted storage for access tokens and sensitive credentials. Payment card data is handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store it.
7. SMS / Text Messaging
If you opt in to SMS, we'll send appointment confirmations, reminders, and occasional updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help. We do not share SMS opt-in data with third parties.
8. Children
The Service is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes
We'll post any changes to this Policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be emailed to active customers.
